Youth Ministry Purpose
serves 6th - 12th Grade Students & post high school young adults
The purpose of our Youth Ministry is to lead our youth to an authentic Christian faith by encouraging, teaching, supporting and equipping them to take the lifelong journey of following God through Christ.
Our youth ministry is bible based and made relevant to the lives of our Middle and High School students. Through trust and experiences, we hope to grow relationships not only with God but between students, students and leaders, students and parents and between leaders and families. These relationships make our Youth Ministry a vital part of our church.
Faith
Youth gain a deep understanding of the Christian faith and learn the meaning and benefits of following Christ in community.
The Greatest Commandment
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:37-40
Mission
Youth experience the joy of serving others through effective and meaningful missional activities.
"Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:18
Worship
Youth have relevant opportunities to worship the Lord and to prepare worship as adults. For example, we offer a youth-led youth worship service on Sundays, 10 Am in the Youth Room.
The Great Commission
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20
Fellowship
Youth have safe, authentic Christian communities to develop healthy, constructive relationships with each other, their families, and others in the world.
Evangelism
Youth are equipped to reach out to others bringing them into the family of Christ.
"Do not merely listen to the work, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says." James 1:22
Discipleship
Youth learn how to become more like Christ in their thoughts, feelings and actions.
