The purpose of our Youth Ministry is to lead our youth to an authentic Christian faith by encouraging, teaching, supporting and equipping them to take the lifelong journey of following God through Christ.

Youth ChristCare Small Groups

Youth ChristCare small groups follow the ChristCare Ministry model and training (see ChristCare Ministry). Our youth ChristCare groups are for students in grades 6 - 12. The small groups, usually 6-12 youth are led by a trained ChristCare group leader. The groups meet regularly at church. Four key elements are part of each group: care and community, prayer and worship, Biblical Equipping, and missional service. All groups create a covenant around things like purpose of the group, time, location and duration of meetings, and promises group members make to one another. Youth ChristCare small groups allow members to experience community within as they reach out to others with the love of Christ.

The following groups are currently meeting following our 10 AM Youth worship service on Sundays:

  • Amplified Faith, Leader - Darrin McGuire - Explore scripture & rock 'n roll music.
  • Equipping for Life, Leader - Steve Mathias - Breakfast and biblical equipping for Senior and Junior High youth to explore what the bible says to you on Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. following the youth worship service in the downstairs youth room.
  • Spirited Silk, Leaders - Sharon McGinty & Tammy Roth - Silkpainting projects created for giving.
  • Step Up to the Plate, Leader - Mike Crescenzo - This group will look at sports after the game has been played. Exploring sports figures and how they apply their faith to everyday life, allows the youth to discover how scripture relates to stories of insight, inspiration and laughter from the world of sports.

If you are a student interested in joining one of these groups, come to the 10 AM Youth Service on Sunday in Lund Hall and directions for joining these groups are always given by the youth worship team. Welcome!
