Dear Friends It is wonderful to be among you as we enter together the season of Advent. It is extraordinary how many ministries, leadership teams, and Christ Care groups are working in the life of the church to give birth to the Christ child in the life of this church and this community. Every member of FCC is invited to be part of the Advent story. The world is full of darkness and we are called to bring illumination to the dark corners of fear, illness, hunger and war that surround us. To become a part of the light I invite us to be diligent in prayer this Advent season-opening ourselves to God’s call to us and to the church to be Christ bearers - to become the light the world so desperately needs. During this “interim” or “pause” time at FCC let us listen to God’s concerns for God’s world, let us be grasped by the Holy Spirit, and let us give birth to God’s unconditional love for the world. I look forward to meeting each of you during the Advent Season. My extension and my church email are now working and I look forward to receiving messages of encouragement and concern. Blessings, |
