Trustees ~ How We Work
The Board of Trustees meets monthly.
Meetings focus on a review of reports submitted by the Financial Secretary, the Treasurer, the Church Office and the Ministers, and the state of the Church's buildings and grounds. Special projects are shepherded at these regular meetings.
At the end of each summer, the annual budgeting process begins when the Board of Trustees gathers input from each of the various boards, ministries, committees and fellowships regarding plans and projected expenses for the following year. New initiatives are explored and changes in activity are factored into the financial overview during this process.
Working with the Financial Secretary, the Treasurer and the Budget Review Committee, the goal is to fairly balance the various needs of our Church community and its many activities. The result of these efforts is a budget proposal that goes first to the Church Council and then to the Congregation for final approval in the middle of October.
