A spine-tingling afternoon of musical fireworks for Brass, Organ, Percussion, Choirs, Handbells, and Congregation (one of New England's most distinctive concerts) once again opens the Fountain Music Series season as it features an eleven-member brass and percussion ensemble, an augmented FCC Concert (Festival) Choir, and the five-octave Celebration Ringers. Revel in a rare Ridgefield performance of the smashing and electrifying GLORIA composed in 1979 by the beloved British composer, John Rutter, Modeste Moussorgsky's Great Gate of Kiev (in an arrangement for brass, organ, percussion, handbells, and mixed choir), Edward Elgar's Nimrod (the premiere of a brass/organ/handbell arrangement of this most famous 'variation' from his ENIGMA VARIATIONS), and other hair-raising fare by Gabrieli, Pachelbel, Stanford, Parry, and Taylor!
