Green By Design Creates New Energy
If we work together, we can power the world.
Opening September 29, the new Energy Gallery will launch with a brand new exhibition, Green by Design and a new program, Energizer Engineering. Come design a hybrid car to see how far it can go on a cup of gas and race two cars that are powered by supercapacitors. Then, build a solar dish that directs sunlight onto a solar cell for efficiency and design a turbine to harness wind energy. Be sure to see the electric car made by inventor Walter Baker in 1898, and the most recent addition to the electric car phenomenon, the Tesla Roadster, one of the world's first high-performance electric cars.
Imagine the possibilities of creating intelligent solutions that could literally turn every home and business into its own power plant. Coupled with the impressive View from Space exhibit, Green by Design is an inspiring exhibition giving new life to the green technologies fueling our future.
