FCC's Music Ministry leads children, youth, and adults on an everlasting Christian faith experience by encouraging them to sing, play, and support one another as we bring the joy of music to all who enter these doors.

Music Ministries

Our Children's Ensembles

In FCC's three young people's ensembles--the Crusader Choir, Covenant Choir, and Carol Choir--the Music Ministry strives to bring glory to God through music by teaching good churchmanship, teamwork, and Christian Education; employing the musical talents, gifts, and abilities God has given each and everyone of us; and nurturing good Christian fellowship. Generally, each choir sings in worship on an assigned Sunday each month, as well as in occasional extra programs between September and May.

CRUSADER CHOIR
Edwin R. Taylor, conductor

Middle and High School Youth

The Crusader Choir is comprised of non-auditioned middle and high school youth who specialize in singing in two-, three-, or four-part harmony, ringing handbells, or both in simultaneity. Meeting on an on-call basis, the Crusader Choir sings and/or rings handbells/Choirchimes in worship several times annually.

COVENANT CHOIR
Edwin R. Taylor, conductor

Third through Sixth Grades
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30 PM

The Covenant Choir, comprised of non-auditioned third, fourth, fifth, and sixth graders, sings in worship one Sunday each month, and also participates in the annual Hanging of the Greens (Dec.), the Christmas Pageant (Dec.), the 4:00p Christmas Eve Service, and takes a leading role in the music of Children's Sunday (May). Covenant Choir also participates with other children's choirs from throughout Fairfield County in the annual Choristers Guild Children's Choir Festival each March, at which time they are conducted by a nationally-recognized children's choir conductor/composer/clinician.

CAROL CHOIR
Edwin R. Taylor, conductor

Four-year-olds through Second Grade
Rehearsals: Wednesdays, 5:30-6:00 PM

The Carol Choir enjoys a twenty-five minute rehearsal designed for our youngest 'musicians' through which a host of children's Bible songs and games will put life-long melodies and truths into the minds and hearts of our children. In addition to singing in worship one Sunday each month, Carol Choir also sings in the Hanging of the Greens, the Christmas Pageant, and in the 4:00p Christmas Eve Service.
