The Hospitality Committee
The Hospitality Committee serves the need of the church in several ways:
- Bread Delivery: The Deacons receive white guest cards from Sunday Church visitors and pass them along to our committee. We deliver a loaf of bread and a note to these visitors as a welcoming gesture.
- New Member Classes: FCC holds classes for prospective New Members each fall, winter and spring. Our committee provides lunch for those attending, their children and the Church staff members that conduct the sessions. The day that they join, we provide a cake for a reception unless a Congregational Brunch is scheduled.
- Coffee Hour: Our committee members rotate by bringing food to the Church for the Church coffee hours on their designated Sunday. We have asked members of the congregation to supplement our contribution by bringing food during a their birthday month. We are pursuing additional ways to involve Church groups in the coffee hour.
- Missions: In the past, our committee has lent support to the HOME mission in Maine. We have offered our services in raising funds, collection food and health items and/or doing whatever we can to help.
