This is the day that the
Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad.
This is the day that we celebrate,
Our years together which were so great.

Sunday School Teachers
Are God’s chosen souls.
They love, care, and teach
Providing God’s goals.

The youth leadership team
Works night and day.
Guiding our kids
Even music they play.

On Sunday morning
I greet in the hall
Pride fills my heart
My own memories recalled.

I hug all the children
I smile at the youth
Only yesterday they walked here
And that is the truth.

The youth and the children
Present special events
Our most famous endeavor
Takes place in Advent.

The Christmas Pageants
Year after year
Filled each of us
With holiday cheer.

Mary and Joseph,
Angels in hordes.
Shepherds with staffs
Swinging as swords.

Each year the three kings
Of Orient were
Hitting each other
With frankincense and myrrh.

The stable livestock
Always ran down the aisle
One knows baby Jesus
Would just have to smile.

The seasonal greening
Of our church worship space
Brought us together
To prepare for God’s grace.

The bagpipes did lead
As we strolled to our brunch
A memory was made
While we sat down to munch.

Our Heifer Project
Featured bees, goats, and sheep.
Plus Calves and Alpacas
For families to keep.

We got through 10 years
Without any traumas,
Unless you consider
Those 2 spitting llamas.

At the end of the year
We ventured to test
Our creativity
With VBS.

Shouting and clapping
With the music we chimed
Bible stories and verses
We learned to define.

Our confirmand leaders
Are a gift to our youth.
Lessons and banners
Bring forth the truth.

Retreats and dinners,
Walks in the snow.
To teach one’s faith
A leader must go.

Now my friends
I thank you again.
For our time together
Has come to an end.

May the Lord Bless and keep you
May you shine in His hue.
May you always teach others
As Christ has taught you.
