THIRD GRADE BIBLE PRESENTATIONS
Each year in October, all of our third graders are given a Bible in a brief ceremony during Church Services.
CHRISTMAS PAGEANT
All children are invited to participate in the annual presentation of the Christmas Pageant. Traditionally, the pageant takes place on the first Sunday in December.
FAMILY CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE
The 4:00 pm Christmas Eve Service is designed for families with young children. The nursery provides care for infants and toddlers.
ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE
Families are invited to prepare for Lent with a service and prayer.
EASTER FAMILY WORSHIP
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
The church is filled with laughter and love for the Lord as the children spend a fun-filled week learning about God through stories, crafts, games, snacks and lots of fun. This summer event is held each year after school is out.
COMMUNION TRAINING
A class for Communion education is offered by the senior minister and the children's minister for families with children who are interested in learning more about the communion service and receiving communion.
ENDING HUNGER, CARING FOR THE EARTH
Heifer International learned over the years that a holistic approach is necessary in order to build sustainable communities. So it has developed a set of global initiatives – Agroecology, Animal Well-Being, Gender Equity, HIV-AIDS, Microenterprise, Urban Agriculture, and Young People’s Initiative – areas of emphasis that must be addressed in order to meet its mission of ending world hunger and poverty and caring for the earth. Each year the children of FCC lead the church in a Heifer project.
CHURCH WORLD SERVICE
Works with partners to eradicate hunger and poverty and to promote peace and justice around the world. Together we reach out to neighbors in need near and far--not with a hand out, but a hand up. Something as simple as a blanket, provides warmth and protection to victims of a disaster. Our children support Blanket Sunday to raise money to purchase blankets
